For this painting I picked a picture that I took in Gulf Shores this summer. I like how I used a cool color scheme to create the sunset, it turned out really good. Also I used Value well with shifting from the orange to the blues. Im impressed by how I made the sand have texture. You can see the strokes that I did and how it looks lumpy. I created contrast to this painting by adding the black bridge in the center. I feel like it could've balanced my painting a little better by using the ruler on the bridge to make it straighter and neater. Overall I really like this painting and the value of colors.
